December Meeting-Holiday Party

About twenty people showed up for this year’s GWAPA holiday party. We had lots of food and drinks and great conversations. The new GWAPA board was elected. Several items (thermometers, tweezers, scissors, a skimmer, and a CO regulator) donated by Oase were raffled off. Finally, we had our monthly auctions.

April Meeting

Over twenty people showed up to the April meeting to listen to Jonathan Butkus’ talk on how to keep North American native fishes and plants and how to set up biotopes for them. Furthermore, he discussed collecting fishes including some methods, state laws, and ethical questions. We were all riveted by his highly entertaining presentation. Then we had our regular monthly auction with some unusual mosses, tank raised Corydoras, and tetra species.

February Meeting

A few snow showers couldn’t stop GWAPA members from coming to Josh Wiegert’s house to hear Jen Williams talk about beginner aquascaping techniques! There were many new and returning faces, an exciting raffle for two donated items, and a bustling auction. Below are a few of Jen’s valuable tips:
