On April 27th, a group of 28 people came to Viktor’s house to hear a talk by Alex Wenchel of Tank Tested. He gave the group a tutorial and some tips about how to document your aquascape.

The streak of large meetings continued this month with over 35 people making the trek to Sterling, Virginia to hear Nick Kinser talk about how to build a Paludarium.

Over thirty people, consisting of both regular members and many new faces, made their way to Josh Wiegert’s house to hear a talk entitled “Planted Aquariums- The Basics”. The presentation was given by Kris Weinhold, who graciously agreed to step in at the last minute.

Lighting: 1-Two-tube strip light, 1 single-strip light. 12 hours/day. Plants: Val, Crinum, Anubias nana and a couple of other small nana cultivars, A. nana petite, Marimo balls, and Java Moss Fauna: school of glass cats, a school of Debaui cats, Otos, one male cherry Barb, Amano and Red Cherry shrimp, ramshorn and common pond snails.
