Good to know Chris. When you're ready for the order, let's find out other interest, and organize from there.

Aaron, that's too bad! I say you bring him along. How else will his first words be "Ludwigia repens," if he's not exposed to the lingo regularly?

Thanks for hosting guys, very nice of you to do the cookout!

Meeting made me reminisce a little, it has been a while since we had under 30 at a meeting. Summertime is always so busy for folks, was nice to have a bit more 'cozy' of a group for a change.

BTW, those Gouramis were just awesome!

Thanks Cavan, for the talk on Ludwigias, and for explaining some of the basics on identifying/describing plants.

Great auction! Not quite sure how I ended up coming home with so many plants, when I wasn't planning to buy anything at all today. Now I have to figure out where to put it all!

And welcome to the new folks!

i had fun as well, quite a drive

and ended up buying a lot of plants just so Dave wouldn't feel bad, you are a good auctioneer Dave

The food was SOOOOO good, especially since i had a near empty stomach, thanks Guys for Hosting

Doug, the plant i was talking about is E. Tenellus Micro Pink, which i tought you were trying to get, let me know wither way.

Hey Damian, Getting some E. tenellus micro pink would be awesome. Let me know how much and a good time to swing by and pick it up.

Another great meeting and another example of the wealth of knowledge that is in this club. Thanks Cavan for sharing. When I see folks on APC with signatures that say, "I wish we had a GWAPA," and then see the low prices that hard to find plants go for in the auctions, it really sinks in how lucky I am! Thanks for hosting Amy and Chris. And very nice tanks - now I want a dwarf puffer!

Thanks Cavan for a very informative talk!

Another amazing auction! Phew! So many bags, you can't tell whether the one bag per species rule is working or not. Then again, I can only remember one or two cases where we had more than one bag of a given plant, so perhaps the rule is increasing the variety. I second Doug's comment - we're very lucky to have such a great and vibrant club!

Kris, I for one enjoyed the focus on a single family (or is it genus? I always get those confused) of plants, and would love to see that continue. You mentioned several good candidates I'd love to hear about - rotalas and crypts chief among them. Lord knows we have enough crypt experts in the club to give that talk!

I would just like to add my voice to the chorus of thanks ...

- thank you Amy and Chris: both for hosting, and for my new 40 gallon tank! It was nice getting to check out your set-ups - each one had its own unique appeal.

- thank you Cavan for the presentation

- thank you Kris and whomever else worked to organize; and thanks to all the people who brought the many plants I scored at the auction

- thank you Cory and Doug for the rides (and thank you Doug for helping me carry the new tank into my house)

I'm definitely looking forward my second GWAPA meeting!
