Help me choose a new featured tank.

Post by krisw »

Hi guys,

Sean's awesome cube has been featured on our website for awhile now. Just for some variety, I'd like to swap it out, but am looking for suggestions as to what should be next. Looking through our Gallery, a few pictures jump out:

Rob's 55 Gallon:

Aaron's 5.5 Gallon

My 40G:

Mark's 55G:

One of Robert's tanks:

Cristy's Tank (setup by GWAPA July 2005):

This is by no means a final list. I'm sure a few of you have been withholding your pictures. Please submit them to this thread, and if everyone else can vote on which tank should be featured, I'd appreciate it.

Thank the heavens, my tank got old after a month.

I like the picture of Robert's tank the best. I like Kristy, Kris, and Aarons' tanks but the best shot is of Robert's. We should get better shots of everyone's tanks.

They are all nice tanks, but I agree with Sean. Yours and Roberts are the best photographs.

I can take another picture of my Tonina tank, but somehow I doubt we want a picture of some of the most incredible green water you've ever seen with freshly added willow branches sticking out the top.

Thanks for the feedback so far. Remember, that I'm not only suggesting the tanks above. Please, feel free to upload any other pictures to this thread. Aaron, I know your 75G looked good at the last meeting. ;-)

So, far, looks like

The 75 gallon will look good again in about a week. I seriously hacked it down after that meeting.

I agree that Roberts tank looks best in the photos but think that Kris's is the best setup.

OK... So, I'm back from vacation now. If anyone else, wants to vote, please do so over the next day or two. Then, it'll be decided. Right now, it looks like Robert's tank is the favorite.

I don't think that my low upkeep tanks are very good examples for a planted tank group... You need something with more color and a dash of collectoritis to catch plant tank folk's attention. Mine are utility tanks - a dash below "vacant lots". If you are showing a selection of tank styles, then mine are representitive of a certain part of the hobby, but not at all the majority view.
