Overdriving fluorescent lights

Post by fredyk »

A question for Aaron on overdriving the lights.

From your article, do I need a heavy duty extension cord to connect the two ballasts to the outlet, or can I connect two ballasts to the cord that is there?

and do two black cords from the ballasts connect to one end of the extension cord, and two white cords from the ballasts connect to the other end of the cord?

Thanks,
Mark

Mark, yes I just splice both of the positive and negative ends of two ballasts into the positive and negative ends of the included powercord. The included powercord is grounded so make sure if you are using a timer that it will accept that type of plug.
