Magnetic tank cleaners

Post by WET Aquaria »

I have been using the flipper nano cleaners for a few years now and they work great. I just tried the plastic attachment for the first time on my 3/4 acrylic on the 180. It didn't appear to put any scratches in the acrylic and was pretty quick for 16sq ft of viewing panel. Additionally, they are pricy, but on sale through cyber Monday.

I don't trust magnetic scrapers. I use magic eraser, AKA Melamine Foam.

I would never use a magnetic scraper where it wasn't necessary. Simply too much of a chance of them scratching. I like the Flippers, too, but ... be careful. The outer pad especially tends to get pilly and wrinkly, and it will scratch even glass when it does.
