Hemianthus micranthemoides

Post by 150EH »

I bought this plant at the auction today at Sean's and want to use it in the tank I'm preparing for the contest but i would also like to try it in my low tech nano, after doing some research Cavan had commented at TPT plant finder the correct or new name for the plant is Hemianthus glomeratus and while every one agreed it was a medium to high light plant there were no comments about CO2, can you guys tell me a little more about your experiences with this plant?
Sincerely,
Tim

I have it in my 11g with high light and co2. I haven't tried it in a low tech tank. It seems to like the light.

I have grown it both with and without co2, and with various levels of lighting. I don't think it requires high light, as it is doing very well in my daughter's low light shrimp tank.

That's good to hear because I don't think it's going to grow sitting in the bag on my desk, thank you.
Sincerely,
Tim
