Ranilisaq rosteate (Ranalisma rostrata) - Care & Spelling

Post by Tyger »

Greetings,

At the GWAPA Auction, I purchased a plant that was called as near as I can tell is called Ranilisaq rosteate. As I understand it, I believe that it grows much like Sagittaria though is extremely small. I was wondering whether I translated the spelling correctly... as I am creating a profile page for the plant and would love to find any information... and it's super rare to punch in a name on Google and get no hits or spelling corrections. Any help would be appreciated... thanks, in advance,

Question - Care

I am reading several conflicting reports regarding care. I am seeing "easy to grow," "like Sag," etc. In other cases, I am getting a profile write-up like this one suggesting CO2, high light, and nutrients (example: Ranalisma rostrata)

Kris,

Thank-you... I believe you are correct! I am usually pretty good about translating handwriting... guess not this time... :) Anyone have notes on care?

Yep that was it, just like I told you, its easy to grow. In lower light it will get taller, wider leaves. In bright light, its compact and small think leaves as it is now.

Kris, I brought some for you but you didnt show up!
