May Joint Meeting

Post by mrkillie »

We had a great meeting yesterday at the ACLC and we are looking forward to the invasion of the plant people! It should be another great one in May.

Just wanted to remind everyone that That Fish Place is in Lancaster, not York as it says on the schedule. See everyone on the 19th!

Can someone give me an estimate of how long it would normally take to drive there from Springfield? Keeping within 10 mph of the speed limit...

It takes us about 2 to 2.5 hours from Reston.

So, who's coming Saturday, and what are you bringing?

I'll be there, but I don't know what I'm bringing yet.

I don't know if anyone else saw this, but an ACLC member posted on Planted Tank:
I would love a little of the super red ludwigia that has been going around, and esp have been looking for hygro pinnatifida, I have some Elantine Triandra to trade if anyone from your club would be interested, I also have some E Triandra I just switched over to emersed that has some new growth and should be stable enough to bring if someone would prefer..

also if anyone in your club would be interested in selling a random plant pack of emersed growth I would definately be interested....

I'm coming to the mtg, but I won't know what I am brining until the night before. Since it looks like some people are interested in emersed plants, I could bring some. I forget about pulling from my emeresed set up since it is so maintenance free.

Two important notes. If you are selling things at the May meeting, please be sure to fill out ACLC's seller sheet with your items.

Also, a note from ACLC's president, Joel Antkowiak:
I have also attached the flyer for our 40th Anniversary Event that we are hosting in September. We would like to offer GWAPA members a special deal; any GWAPA member that registers for the 40th Anniversary event at the May 19th meeting will receive a 1 year membership in ACLC free.
