I finally got around to assembling a regulator yesterday. I have my 29G and my 50G running off of it. It replaces my JBJ and Milwaukee for now.
I had some anxiety about taking the solenoid apart to reconfigure it and attach an electrical cord to it. I did'nt know which wire was the ground, and don't own a multimeter, so I hooked it up wrong the first time, but it worked fine after the second try. (Hint), the wire with the stripe on it was the ground. The 2 solid color wires were the hot ones.
The only bummer is I broke one of my diffusers, even after soaking the tubing in hot water a couple of minutes to soften it up. They need to make them things a little sturdier.
The Fabco needle valves work nicely; I had to tighten the knob up a little with a tiny allen wrench (as Kris recommended) before I could adjust them properly.
