Eco Complete - How many bags

Post by PaulS »

Does anyone know how many 20 lb bags of Eco Complete I would need to get between 3 and 4 inches in my 90 gal? Thanks.

yep, about 8 bags. You can go to the seachem website, and select the most comparable item, then enter the dimenions, and it'll tell you.

Another question...
Any suggestions where to buy? DrsFosterSmith.com is 23.99 per bag.
Update:
PetSolutions.com has it on sale for $18.99 a bag. That's seems like an excellent price.

My suggestion is to buy at your local fish store. They need your support! :)

I try to do that whenever I can but in some cases, such as this, the online savings are pretty significant.

Don't forget shipping... especially since those are "freight" type items that sometimes get an additional surprise fee tacked on.

Often enough by the time you tack on shipping and whatever else you could have just gone to your LFS and helped them stay in business for not much of a difference in price. :) ALSO there are a few in the area who will match internet pricing on goods, so there's that too!

Much to my surprise, the shipping for eight 20lb bags was only $14.99.

I dont think you would even find a LFS that would have 8 bags for eco anyway! I think its Drs. F&S that charge shipping based on $ not weight of order. Inventory seems to be WAY down, but that is understandable.
