I need to buy some clay to use for mineralized soil. In looking for information online, I found this definition:
Noun: potter's clay
Clay that does not contain any iron; used in making pottery or for modeling
It does not contain any iron? really. I was thinking it should contain iron.
What should I be looking for? Looking for clues.

I'm thinking it needs to be some kind of natural clay, no man made polymers.

The all natural clay seems to be very hard to find. I looked and could not find it either.

I agree, it's not easy to find real mineral rich clay. Since laterite is an iron rich clay, I think it would be a suitable substitute, but I haven't seen any comparisons of laterite and clay. And clay has another purpose I believe, to bind the mineralized soil.

There is an art supply store near me in Baltimore that carries Malone Red. I'm going to pay them a visit today.
