I finally got the last piece (hopefully) to the CO2 puzzle, a full CO2 tank. I am using an AquariumPlants regulator, solenoid and bubble counter. My question is - How far should I fill the bubble counter?
Actually I have another question - Do I need to install a check valve between the diffuser and the bubble counter? If so, what kind.
While I am at it - With Amazonia, do I need to wait for the tank to stabilize before adding plants?
Thanks!

Leave about 1/2 open in the bubble counter, I assume its one that is attached to the regulator?
If it is that type of bubble counter it has a built in check valve, but if you want another on the brass type are better for CO2
Nope add plants BEFORE you even fill that tank fully with water. Fill slowly to avoid disturbing the plants and soil

Yep, the counter is attached to the regulator.

Re: CO2 question
No, fill the tank just enough to get the substrate wet and then plant the foreground. Then fill it enough to cover a couple more inches and plant the midground, then fill it a little more and plant the midground. Now slowly finish filling the tank all the way.maddog10 wrote: While I am at it - With Amazonia, do I need to wait for the tank to stabilize before adding plants?

Give the tank 4-6 weeks to stabilize before adding fish and you should be good to go.
