Live Rock... and dead shrimp.

Post by ingg »

Good news, maybe, and bad news, definitely.

Good news first - the moss on porous mossy rock? It is apparently aquatic... it is coming alive on a couple pieces in the 180g. Little tiny sprouts of something busting up out of the rock.

Bad news - dropped some shrimp in. I see pieces of shrimp left... they are getting uscked into the inline overflow, where the MAG pump and a UV sterilizer are drawing from, getting sucked in and chopped to pieces. Ugh. Wonder if I can screen the intakes on the overflow with black nylon screen or something somehow...

Aaron's witnessed the same thing about the moss on the rocks.

Sucks about the shrimp, although, I bet you made Ghazanfar smile.

Good fer you man!

Don't sweat the chopped shrimp. Once you've got enough plant cover growing
in there, you'll have no trouble keeping a population going and a good supply
of fish food.
