I thought those names looked a little suspicious. Look at all of the sig lines. Some spammers have definitely starting registering here. Time for a house cleaning.

Looks like the spammers got going on November 5th the same time as the forum upgrade.

We got a new one today from Mexico, this one puts an add in his signature without masking the site a drug with no prescription, I have no idea what this drug does. Our membership is growing!
Sincerely,

Everytime you click on those links somebody gets paid and Gwapa forum site gets black marks for spamming. It is best to report it and let the admins delete the link and ban the member.

They're still coming over the walls. BTW you don't need to click on the links to see that they're spammers. The links themselves have phony drug names in them.

Perhaps it's time to implement a moderation on all join applications?

OK guys... I've banned the IP for this person, and updated our forum registration spam question. Hopefully that'll keep them out for awhile. The good thing is that no one is ever able to post without getting approval from a person (usually me), so at least we don't have to worry about them messing up the content of our forum...

I'm a little late in the game as usual, but had to say the site upgrade is AWESOME! Love it! Much better than many other forums I've stopped by :)

Hey Kris,

Is there a way to change my settings such that only forums with new posts that I have't viewed since the last time I visited are highlighted in pink? As it is now any forum with a topic unread by me is highlighted pink and it makes it hard to know which ones are from today.

I looked around in the UCP, but couldn't find the option I was looking for.

Thanks for all you do bud!

Aaron, I don't see any settings to change the way the highlighted forum functionality works, but I believe you can get a list of exactly what you're looking for by clicking on the "View new posts" link at the top of the forum's index page. Or use this link:

I guess they never give up but we are getting new members that never post but have a insurance website ready to give quotes online, I'm not sure it matter but thought I'd make mention.

Huberteaa is the new member?
Sincerely,
Tim
