setup is
the Magical Mud Recipe
capped with Color Quartz
CO2 at an unknown rate (the fish arent dieing and the plants almost always pearl)
capful of Potassium occasionally
Peat + Crushed Coral in the canisters (experiment that worked for some odd reason)
about 40% weekly water change with tap water with Prime and that is it
biggest issue I have is that Alexandria seems to love Phosphate so the Hydor and the Bolbitis are furry.
50 breeder after a hack job
oh god that is saying a whole lot of nothing...
Ok now give me suggestions please.
what I think:
The vals all need to get pulled, the crypts need to get moved towards the sides/back as they are getting too tall to be that close. I need to look at getting more thin leaved stems for the back. The existing stems need to be hacked back and worked towards a bush type look. Hack off all of the Bolbitis that is furry and let it grow in with new leaves.

I really like the look - I think it just needs to be cleaned up.
I'd just clean up the Val runners, honestly, and it is one of the reasons the plant drives me nuts - I like them so much, but I hate chasing the runners around to keep it where I want it!
Trim out the dead Bolbitis.
I can't make the puffballs of rotala yet, so umm, beg Ghazanfar to come over and trim it to do it? They are so cool, and it'd look great right there, just dunno how to make it look like he and Aaron do!
Were it mine, I'd make a change to the foreground, rip out half that dwarf sag and replace it with something shorter(the whole left side in front of the wood), but it does look good as it is.

i think that if you pull the vals it is going to look too empty in the back, it gives is that nice filled look, now if you insist on pulling those then how about adding a few swords to the left back of the aquarium, maybe melon swords could look nice.
