Yeah, I was kinda bummed to hear about this. Cisco has screwed up every major consumer-targeted product they've ever tried to sell.

We still have ours, and will continue to use it, because despite all the talk about how smart phones can do video, I haven't seen smart phones with 1/4"-20 mounting holes for tripods. :)

I found it interesting that they couldn't find a buyer for this rather than just writing it off. Our Canon still camera also does video.

Perhaps that's the reason for no buyer interest.

Actually, hearing the reports, Flip was the #1 selling device in its class last year. This is more to do with Cisco wanting out of the consumer market space and corporate reorganization than demand. Whether it's a smart decision is left to be seen.

I now know why my boyfriend (also Filipino) laughed when I said the group name. Note to self: do not mention fish group name in front of his parents while they visit this weekend... :oops:
