My betta just seems to be exploring the tank. I haven't seen him confront other fish yet. So far so good.

I did that at work with my co-worker's betta. Wish I had a camera.

The nice thing about a betta is that if he does get rowdy with the rest of your fish you can easily put him back into a small bowl / solitary confinement. Much better than when you get a pair of breeding angels and wonder "Where the heck am I going to put these guys, they are killing all my fish!"

We have put Bettas in display tanks many times at the store (in fact we used to have the bettas positioned over the display tanks on a shelf and they would regularly make a "leap of faith" and end up in one of the displays). We usually had good results, but then again I guess if there was a mean one we could always stick him back in his cup and sell him :P
