Those might work too.
Reading in the reviews that some were having issues with attaching it to MEgaflow systems, sent an inquiry to Aquaon to find out if they have a comparable item, or if it'll fit to their knowledge.
Bummer on the flow of the SubCurrent. Wonder if he'll be able to find a larger pump able to fit inside it?
Anyone ever used a SubCurrent filter?
Ordered a Koralia Powerhead nano, and one of those SubCurrent filters today.
It may not have the flow I'm looking for, but I have lots of tanks and am sure I can find use for it in another tank - seems so useful just for surface skimming of nothing else.
Koralia nano is 240 gph, which is only slightly less than the 295 gph MaxiJet I'm using now - and the Maxijet is a little too much, maybe this is the sweet spot in water movement.
We'll see how well the Koralia blends - like the SubCurrent, if it doesn't work out, I'm sure I can find other uses for it. Heck, might be turning one of these tanks into saltwater sooner or later, so both may have uses I'm not even thinking of right now should that happen...

I agree, I JUST got the model 1 and put it on my 55, I wanted a smaller unit so I didnt get the model 2, wishing I did now. The 400ghp is just enough, wish I had the model 2 to at least try. Wouldnt hurt to call them
About the pump, Im real happy with it, quiet and nice gently flow all around the tank.

Have both of these running to check them out now.
After a day, for what it is worth....
Subcurrent:
VERY cool little filter. If you make it one outlet instead of the default two, it has decent flow for what it is, I'd say like a Maxijet 400 or a little more. Does great at surface skimming, but virtually no noise, and very little surface agitation. Comes with a bag of nano balls for bio, which is all I'm running in it - also comes with a carbon bag and some sponge type media.
Really like this little filter! It is a little bulky, but is all black so will tend to blend into a black background - it is like adding a 2" deep, 4" wide, little overflow onto the back of the tank.
I'll be pulling i off just ot experiment - I'd like to see if a bigger powerhead can be fit into it, increasing its flow. If it can and it can still pull water evenly like it does now, what a useful little thing!
This'd be a great answer to someone wanting a little extra flow and a little extra filtration on a tank (in my eyes). It won't replace a 300gph powerhead or a 2215, but it will replace a small powerhead, or a small canister filter.
Koralia:
I don't get it. I mean, I do, but this is one WIERD powerhead. This thing is supposed to be pushing 240 gph, but it feels like half that or less. It doesn't work like other powerheads, it makes like a broad path of turbulence, but not real directional flow, if that makes sense. Just adifferent kind of application - I can see it being useful to introduce turbulence to a general area, but don't expect it to blow across a 4' area creating a linear jetstream like a MaxiJet will.
I can see how it'd be nice in salt, where you just want a ton of movement and to emulate the turbulence of waves for a reef tank. Sort of limiting for what I wanted, without getting a huge one - which would take up twice the profile of a traditional powerhead, as the bigger ones are 5"+ long.
Pluses and minuses - very power efficient, neat design, and it does create a very gentle flow as opposed to the jet of a traditional powerhead. But, bigger ones are very bulky, and it won't direct flow like a traditional powerhead does.
