How long until driftwood sinks?
Update: The wood is still giving off a bit of tannin, so still in soak. The three heaviest pieces have developed the obnoxious whitish (really light amber) slime - my first experience with that mess. I suspect less than fully cured wood. Those three pieces may go outside to sunbake for the summer.

I have one piece that REFUSES to stay down. I have tried everything including Hot water (just leeched tannins and nothing else). I gave up trying to keep it down after it was submerged for approx a year and a half and it still floated. Currently using it until the Green Severum dies(he's a few years old and just hangs out on the bottom anymore) then I will be revamping the entire tank into a planted tank probably.
