Ok, I just placed the order...

2 for me
2 for Michael
2 for Rick
1 for Jonathan

Works out to 41.70 per unit (incl. shipping)
They had them in stock so they should be here
in time for distribution at the next GWAPA meeting
on the 17th.

Thanks Ghazanfar, I'll be sure to bring the wallet. Let us know if you'd like the money sooner... no point in you being out of pocket on our account.

Its not a problem - I can wait till the GWAPA meeting.
Its probably the best 40 bucks you've spent in a while.

If it does not dry out you can have my second unit. I won't need it for a while and can wait until the second group purchase.

OK well I found something out. May as well post
it here - may help someone.
After dropping the unit in my tank, I pulled it
out. Ran down the room and ran back up - and kicked
myself in the @$$. Then I took the batteries in the unit
out and shook out as much water as I could. Wiped the unit dry from outside and let it sit to dry out. After
a few hours a couple of quick shakes still yielded a few droplets
of water so I dried it out with my wifes hairdryer.
Took me about 5 minutes. Put the batteries back in
and it works! Cool!

At least it was battery rather than line voltage. My #1 son chased a dropped air pump into an aging vat - the circuit breaker trip and his yell were simultaneous.

That unit survived, as did my lesson-learned son. The hair dryer was used on the pump also. Should have used the hairbrush on the kid, but I suspect that my voice and the embarrassment were both more painful. <img border="0" src="smileys/smiley5.gif" border="0">
