A special thank you to Nick Kinser, who graciously hosted us at Glen Echo, where he works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Members got to sit and chat while enjoying all sorts of delicious food and baked goods. It was definitely a holiday feast! There was also a very large number of amazing items up for auction including plants, lights, fertilizers, and even a brand new tank!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once everyone had their fill of the food, we made our way down to the Glen Echo Aquarium. Inside was a stunning array of native fish, reptiles, invertebrates, mollusks, and even one adorable amphibian! In addition to the gorgeous tanks, was a &#8220;Touch Tank&#8221; featuring horseshoe crabs, hermit crabs, grass shrimp, and mud snails.  One of the people who worked at the aquarium showed us how horseshoe crabs eat, it was fascinating!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you all for another wonderful year, and Happy Holidays!
