The theme for this year&#8217;s contest is :\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thegreenmachineonline.com\/articles\/tips-techniques\/iwagumi-aquascapes-introduction\" target=\"_blank\">Iwagumi<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The contest is open to GWAPA members ($5 registration), tank size is <strong>not <\/strong>restricted to only 2.5G aquariums, and we are re-instating the beginner and advanced categories.<\/p>\n<p>The goal of the contest is to provide friendly competition among members, while finishing with a collection of displayable tanks that can then be submitted to other aquascaping contests. \u00a0There will be two categories in this year&#8217;s contest (beginner \u00a0and advanced), with the grand prizes to be announced later. A free years&#8217; GWAPA membership will be awarded to the 2nd place winner for each category.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Contest Rules<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Only one tank per category per member. Family memberships are permitted multiple entries, limited to 1 tank per family member per category.<\/li>\n<li>Categories are:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Beginner: <\/strong>First time participants, new to aquascaping, kids &#8230; everyone here has a fair chance.\u00a0<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Advanced: <\/strong>The game is on! Show your skills and may the best win !.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The contest will be judged by photograph only. A photograph should be submitted to gwapa@gwapa.org by midnight on November 17th.<\/li>\n<li>Winners will be selected by popular vote on the forum from November 19th\u00a0&#8211; 29th, and announced at the December Holiday Party.<\/li>\n<li>Equipment should be removed from the tank prior to photographing.<\/li>\n<li>Selection of plants, rock, wood, substrate, etc is entirely up to the entrant.<\/li>\n<li>Registration is free &#8211; Register now!<\/li>\n<li>Free AGA contest registration (up to $5) for any GWAPA member who participates in our contest.
