January Meeting
Over 25 people showed up to the first GWAPA meeting which was presided by our new president, Arlene Wagner. This month’s presentation was a beginner’s guide to setting up a planted tank. It was far the best presentation of the year so far with an excellent speaker who kept the audience captivated during his high-interest talk.
Viktor discussed the various aspects of setting up a tank including substrate, lighting, fertilization, plants, animals, and fighting algae. The auction that followed contained some unusual mosses that piqued many people’s interests. Tim and Viktor did an excellent job auctioning off the plants and the shrimp. We hope to see everyone in February in Silver Spring, MD, when Jen Williams of GWAPA will give another fascinating talk
