About our Speaker
Cara Wade is an planted aquarium hobbyist of twenty years who recently escaped the confines of submersed gardening in order to propagate and flower a broader array of plant species in paludariums and terrariums.  She’s worked in wildlife filmmaking, science education, and photobiology consulting and is currently a GIS Analyst at an environmental consulting firm that manages aquatic vegetation restoration and endangered species monitoring and research.  In her off time she maintains her plant collections and enjoys birding, motorcycle touring, and walking stinky urban ditches in search of aquatic plants.
