I meant they could be hard to water without any run off at the bottom but it looks like you have it under control, really the only other times I've seen a vertical planter is when someone's whole back yard is used up by a pool but they want to soften the edges with plants instead of looking a some type of fence or wall but being outside run off is not a major problem.

I also keep my aquairiums open and the amount of evaporation is really faster than one would think with my 150 losing 5 to 7 gallon per week and we live in an area where the ground stays saturated with water and the bay is a stones throw away, but it doesn't factor into the rate I guess.
Sincerely,
Tim

They use a reservoir to draw water from and pump it to the top of the material to trickle down through.

Here it is on a larger scale:

Eugen;

Here's a prefab set up you could investigate; the EpiWeb-IIS.

They do ship to the States.

Those look nice, the ones I have seen use thick rubber or plastic nailed to plywood (everything is first water proofed with a membrane) to make a pocket of soil for the plants and they look more horizontal (the plants) then the disguise everything with moss.

Tim

If I lived someplace warm like Florida, I would certainly have one of this on an outdoor patio. Very cool.
