Bypassing the Solenoid

Ok, so I bought a completely new rig to replace the old one that buzzed ... and this one does the shotgun thing immediately... even when plugged into a noise filtering power strip, even when not plugged into the pH meter. I don't know what gives.

So... if I wanted to just pump gas into the tank nonstop, with no solenoid, how would I go about bypassing it? If it is just unplugged, the solenoid is "closed." Can I remove the black box that the plug goes into, and will that do it? It just is kind of screwed on by a washer and nut, so that's pretty easy to replace. Or... do I have to actually remove the bronze part of it, that includes the solenoid, and is pretty tightly screwed together? Any ideas?

I'm probably being completely unclear without pictures.

You can just remove it, but obviously whatever is attached to the solenoid on either side needs to be screwed together using plumbers putty. In terms of fittings, it should be pretty apparent what needs to be removed once the solenoid is detached and you need to hook up the needle valve to the regulator.
