New LED Modular lighting at Ken's

I just received an email from AquaVibrant an they are expecting 30 inch Finnex Ray 2's sometime mid January. They don't know price yet but if you average the 24" and the 36" it should run around $119. They think it will have 192 emitters like the 24".

I think I just found my next fixture!

That is great. 30" fixtures are difficult to find. I didn't realize that when I bought my 37g. I read on the AquaVibrant webpage, that one of these Finnex Ray fixtures equals 3 T5s. That is awesome.

I checked out your signature tag (http://fukiransoa.weebly.com/). Very nice! I love orchids. I can only get them to grow at work. There is just the right amount of light coming through my office window. When it blooms, I make everyone come into my office and admire it (they all think I am nuts).

Yes, one of several obsessions I have. Neofinetias are my favourites. Poor Marlene. She's an aquarium widow in the winter and an orchid widow the rest of the year. You know it's bad when vacations include trips to growers, locations of native plants in bloom, and fellow obsessives. Sort of like us here in GWAPA.

Well, it was MY thread originally, so I give you full permission to hijack it.

Seems like a lot of light for a 2.5 g, but I am not the expert.

I forgot the dimensions of a 2.5 gallon, but the small FugeRay looks like a better light for plants.

I use this light on my 2.5 and it works very well and it's only about 9 inches long and very sleek. It was $39 plus shipping.

I do like the new lights and being able to replace bulbs or change the color temps are just a great feature.
