Rhizomes should not be buried because they will rot. The java fern and the Anubias have rhizomes.

Thabk you for the heads up i def have the java buried the anubias rhizome is exposed but the roots are in the substrate is that ok?

Roots are okay buried; just leave the rhizomes exposed.
