Plant Identification

For those who didn't get this info yet or not familiar with the project at all.

At the AGA Convention, Dr. Shaun Winterton mentioned a database he was developing for APHIS where one could search and identify aquatic plants based on characteristics (Aquatic and Pond Plants of the World). I noticed that it's now available as a free download (117K) at:

You need the free Lucid Player to use the identification key. The player is
a 25MB download (or available in 2MB chunks), available at:

http://www.lucidcentral.org/downloads/download.aspx

There is also much information available online at the first site listed above. It appears that you only need the Lucid Player and the plant
identification key downloads if you want to use the feature where you
identify a plant based on its characteristics.
