My first planted 20G

After a lot of re-scaping sessions, experimenting with different flora and fauna and growing a lot of algae...finally the tank has become algae free (not entirely) for the last 3 or 4 months. Let me know what you guys think.

Hardware
20G Long
65 W Compact Florescent (total 8 hrs = 4 hrs On - 4 hrs Off - 4 hrs On) with lights off 1-2 days a week.
DIY CO2 yeast reactor
Hagen Aqua Clear power filter

Substrate & Fertelizers
Seachem Flourite Substrate
Macro dosing 3 times a week (PPS-Pro formula)
Micro dosing 1 time a week (Seachem Flourish)

Both are looking nice! I'd say that both are due for a trim, which will make the plants fill out even more. In the lower picture, you may want to experiment placing your rocks less in a line, and more varied from front to back to give the mid-ground a little bit more definition. Otherwise, it's clear that you have no problem growing plants, and the fact that you've conquered your algae outbreaks further proves that. I'm looking forward to seeing how this tank matures. Nice job!

I agree with Kris about the trimming. Once you will arrange the stems into nice little well behaved bushes, you'll be amazed what difference it will make.

thanks for the feedback guys!! i will post some more pictures soon after I do a trimming.
