50 breeder after a hack job

Post by JMLenke »

still battling clado in the substrate and on some plants but this picture shows the better look of the tank (right side is Bolbitis, Java fern and Clado).

4 months ago, not long after it was set up

4 months and a bunch of changes later

I need to change some stuff around, soem of it grew where it chose and not where I chose.

Im sure I have given Ingg, Ghaz, Chris and every other scaper here, a heart attack with the grow pattern...

Honestly, Im not sure what I am even growing in there beyond a few plants.

It looks like rotala sp. pink. I still have that one, algae infested nowadays though - pulled some clean stuff to try and grow out in another tank.

Crypts are beckettii...wendtii...

I see low grow..

I like the scape!

Just gotta get those runners of vals pulled and under control. ;)

Looks great! Plants are healthy, fish look happy, what more could you want? We only judge scapes when you give us the head on picture. ;-)

Hey Jeff, I love that jungle look. Awesome! :-) What's the tall grassy stuff in the back, Val?

yeah its val, for some weird reason, it has grown like regular Val in this tank. The previous tank it was in it only grew to about 8" or so.

I was happy with it at the 8" tall mark, at over a foot, I dont like it and I am probably going to yank it all.

the rocks have been completely buried under my crappy scaping job. I am going to probably pull all the Vals and replace it with Mayaca or a very fine stem.
