The pictures do NOT do them justice. The red is non-reflective, but amazingly bright! It litterally does look like someone painted these guys. The tails don't show up real well in the pictures either. This is an amazing batch of fish! Nice score.

Ghazanfar, you ought to post that picture to the fish
profiles website. They have a descripiton of the
denison barb (puntius denisonii) but no available
photograph. Your photo would look great. The site
is at: http://fishprofiles.com/profiles/fw/

Those are beautiful fish, btw. They must look
outstanding in your planted tanks. Congratulations.

Francine - you know I'll be trying everything!
I've spoken with Randy about them. They haven't
been spawned in an aquarium though I hear they're
being bred using hormone injections.

Ghazanfar,
I will run that statement by Rosario LaCorte, member of NJAS. There is no fish he haven't spawned and a lot of "new" stuff in our tanks have been kept and spawned in his. I was talking to Alesia, who had a pleasure to visit LaCorte fishroom (not everyone is invited), and she mentioned that there are many, many, many other species (especially Tetras) which are collected by him and are in his tanks; never released on the market.
