Plant list from ASW

Post by ricoishere »

I was reading this list, from plantedtanks.co (http://www.plantedtanks.co.uk/index.asp) it's quite extensive. I don't know what shipping would be, but their price are very resonable. Attached is ther current stock list is anyone wants to peek.

Lots of lookers but not many takers. Are the prices in pounds?
Might be interesting to see what the minimum order would be.

They have US currency on the site. I know they were ready to send a $35.00 order for me. I asked about shipping price yesterday. Waiting on answer.

The thing with Oriental aquarium is that they almost never have 80% of the plants you want in stock.

An order totaling $37.00 total would be $20.00 for three day shipping from U.K.

Do you need an import license for the plants to get thru customs?

Rico,

In short the answer is no. I make all the arrangements to clear US customs for you. You may get a small tax for import duty – although this is rare…

To combat this – I send a UK Customs declaration attached to the packaging. This I set as a nominal value of £10 GBP, which is the minimum I can set it as. This then means that the US customs can only ever come at you for tax on about $15USD which as sales tax is $1.50USD

Basically I do as much as I can here in the UK. What I would however suggest is that the order should be collated as best as you can – that is one order, sent to one address – then share the shipping and tax charges. This will make it easier for both me and you.

When you have an order – let me have it by email and I will then I will confirm shipping for you before you place the order.

My cut off time is Thursday 2pm GMT – This then means the plants arrive with me on the following Tuesday and ship to you the same day. Arrival is then due with you Friday or Saturday that week.

Yes, If they find them they will destroy the shipment. I've never had issues with small orders of plants or seeds yet though

I was thinking more of a phytosanitery (sp?) cert.

Customs is MUCH more aware than they were even 18 months ago. I've not ordered from overseas in some time because of it.

It should cost as much as your entire order (maybe $50 or so) alone.
