Nanoscape Contest!!!!

Post by Ghazanfar Ghori »

Hear ye! Hear ye!

The 2nd Annual GWAPA Nano Aquascaping contest has begun!

This year, we have the pleasure of Seachem sponsoring our contest. Seachem has provided their outstanding Plant Packs, Flourish Tabs for all contestants as well as larger items for the First and Second place
winners in both the beginners category as well as the advanced category.
First place winners will also get $50 in gift certificates to an online vendor
of their choice.

We'll give you a tank, lighting, ADA Amazonia, Seachem fert line
- pretty much everything but the plants.
You scape it. Nurture it. Take a picture.
The contest ends in October - and judging is by popular vote.

For folks who entered last years contest - you should reuse the same
tank and light from last year and only pay a minimal registration fee
for the contest. We'll still give you the Amazonia and Seachem ferts.
In addition you may purchase replacement bulbs for minimal cost
for your light fixtures if you need them.

All members are encouraged to participate. It'll give you a chance
to try out ADA Amazonia and Seachems Excel.

More details and registration at:

I'm in! Since last years equipment is now my son's tank, and there's
no way he'll let me pull that castle from his tank - I'm buying an
entire new set.

So, is there a pre-beginner category? :)

Seriously, though, I think I might enter. It sounds like a good opportunity to try something new. (And if things really go awry, I can pretend I was actually trying to see how many species of algae I could grow in one tank  )

Please do sign up, Judi. For new entrants, the club subsidizes nearly half of the equipment costs, so you'll get a 2.5G tank, nice light fixture, Seachem stuff, and Amazonia for $20. You couldn't find that anywhere else. See what you can grow. I think you'll be surprised how many plants Amazonia lets you grow that you might otherwise struggle to.
