Re: C02 System - List of Items Needed
A regulator from Green Leaf Aquariums would have your Two stage regulator, Needle valve, and Bubble counter and also a solenoid. They are expensive but top notch. They also have the other things on your list, but others might be able to recommend cheaper options. I have a single stage regulator. I a...

Way to go Jen!
There was a time when I could look down the list of US winners and know at least a few or know how they were. This time Jen, is the only person I recognize.

Re: Simple Macro Mix
The primary use I know of is as an insect killer. I am thinking of Alum that is used to pickle stuff. I have some old pharmacists type scales (torsion balance) that I use to measure stuff. They are very accurate, but would be a major PIA to this often. http://www.wikiscales.com/wp-content/uploads/2...

Re: Simple Macro Mix
How are you all measuring this stuff out?
Where are you getting the boric acid? Grocery store? Isn't this what is used to make pickles. Did I miss it somewhere?
Are you putting anything in the mixtures to inhibit mold growth? Seachem Acid buffer? Vinegar?

Re: Inline Diffusers
I have been issues with cloudy water, so I've been paying a lot of attention to my water clarity. I've noticed recently that my water is crystal clear in the morning but slightly cloudy within a few hours of the light/CO2 coming on. Makes me wonder if it isn't the fine mist of bubbles from the CO2.

Re: Inline Diffusers
I have the Green Leaf one. I had to put it on the intake of my filter because it was releasing a cloud of bubbles constantly. I still have issues with my filter burping bubbles on occasion. If I could get my filter cleaned, it might take care of this.

Your calicum and phosphorus could precipitate out in your marco mix. For that matter your Mg and phosphorus could as well, but Ca in particular has a high affinity for phosphorus.
