The Umbrella palms are from divisions last year and have older green but not all have newer leaves up yet. Let me know if you want any as I will only bring them if they are ca...

Re: Native Plants
It is but the stock in the aquarium trade comes from Cuba and seems to lack some of the cold tolerance. This is something that happens commonly. I know most of the pickerel weed out there is from Florida stock and does not last overwinter. I have had mermaid weed last over the winter but I seem to h...

Native Plants
I'm looking for native plants that anyone may have to add to my collection. They don't necessarily need to be DMV natives, but I am looking for ones that could potentially be winter hardy. Something that only tolerates south Florida I will pass on but would still be interested in hearing about for f...

Re: C. beckettii flower
Got a new crypt flowering at the moment. One that I'm very excited about. C. vietnamensis is a very rare crypt from Vietnam but only 2 or 3 locations. Got this plant from Aaron a few years ago and it has grown well emersed and for the first time is flowering. Also have a C. ponterderifolia flowering...

Re: Mixing Ferts
Ill probably end up doing exactly this assuming I can stay free enough to keep up with my tanks for awhile. Last night I used mixing jars with some tank water to mix everything into instead of walking around with the bottle and a dropper. As usual just playing around whenever I have time to.

I have done it before in some of my tanks and its definitely helpful depending on the plant combinations I have in them. Seachem has their Flourish line I have been using and they hav...

Yeah my "repens" is not flowering outside like I would expect it to be. Something to investigate next year.

Re: August Meeting
Hi everyone. Thanks for coming over today. It was a lot of fun hanging out, eating food and talking plants. Can't wait till we can do it again. Allen, Did some poking around and I'm pretty sure the Ludwigia you have is palustris. There are lots of paired flowers on the plants I got and none of them ...
