Yes, it is a large piece. I just finished reading about my dishwasher, and there seems to be no way of not having it use the jet dry liquid. We bought it almost a year ago; if I had our older one (really old that did not work well and could not use rinsing aid liquid), I would not hesitate to use it...

I forgot about the jet dry part. I don't think I can take out the rest of the liquid from its compartment. I don't think I will do it-sorry. I will just do it the way I have always done-put a part of the wood in a pot with boiling water, and then rotate it, and then rotate it again, etc. Thanks for ...

Driftwood in a dishwasher?
I have read a few times that to cure collected driftwood, it's possible to put it in a dishwasher and run it without detergent on the hot cycle. I am thinking about doing it, but wouldn't it stain the inside of the dishwasher due to the leaching tannins?

I just got the splitter installed. The original part was on it very tightly, so I had to go to my piano shop to get the job done. Yes, Joe, it is a JBJ, and the splitter fits it perfectly (I got it from http://co2-canisters.com/index1.html). I don't know what size the threads are.
