Vallisneria
After determining that my S. subulata that I bought decades ago was in fact a Val, I would like to determine which one. After looking through some stuff online it maybe impossible but I though maybe someone has some thoughts or could point me to a good resource to key it out.

HI Wil Please provide some more information if possible about how you are building these . Pictures would be great as well if you can. Based on what you have described and how I would do it, I don't think a planer would help. Not off so I can't respond until later tonight but Ill help if I can Tim

Try checking out The Crypt Pages. Best source that I know of. Other than some of our members which I'm not sure are growing crypts anymore.....

Nope. They sink just fine as is. You want to be able to keep all that soil in. The soil for lilies and lotus is fine silt/sand so holes ghouls let that flow out easily
