I like it. Doesn’t have the wicked ammonia spike like ADA soils. You’ll have to start fertilizing sooner, but that’s a trade off I’m ok with.

Congratulations! You've performed an experiment (accidentally) and come to the correct conclusion. :) Surface disturbance can, and will, significantly diminish the CO2 levels in your water. And by the sound of it your diffuser is doing an excellent job if you were able to saturate to "deep yell...
