Yeah... I'm using AP test kits for PH/KH testing. I didn't know that they carried other nutrient tests in their product line. (ie/ Fe, Mg, K, etc) It's too bad about the picture guides. I imagine that most experienced people who could identify an exact nutrient deficiency have forgotten how to "...

While we'd never know for sure, as we got her from the SPCA, but she's supposed to be a Lab/Springer Spaniel mix. Hair like a lab, markings/size of a springer. Whatever breed she is, she's my constant little sidekick.

What nutrient test kits does everyone use? I've done a lot of searching on the web, and it seems like the *best* kits are professional ones from Lamott, but those are pretty expensive. So far I've pretty much been dosing by eye when I see what looks like a nutrient deficiency. (I know, probably not ...

Yeah... Hopefully, one more week of growth, and the header should be hidden. :-) Thanks for the comments everyone! I'll post an updated picture in a few weeks. :-)

This is really exciting Marsha! I know that when my Rainbow Cichlids (Herotilapia multispinosa) spawned, it was fascinating! I'm looking forward to seeing some pictures of the "fry swarm" after the eggs hatch!

That would be really nice Marsha! Do you think it'll be able to survive in my 2 Watts/gal tank? If you think so, I'd be honored to add it in. This'll be the first meeting I've attended. It will be nice to meet all of...

I haven't ordered any lately, but I ordered a bunch last winter. I didn't have any problems with USPS 2-3 day. I've shopped at http://www.aquariumplants.com a couple times, with good success. Also, if you order from a de...

Marsha, I do really want to put some microsword in there. If you look in the bottom front, slightly right of center, there's some in the picture. Unfortunately, since this picture was taken (about 2 weeks), that microsword has been looking pretty weak. I actually pulled it out to put it in another t...

Lol! And to think that I just replaced all of my white substrate in another tank with Onyx Sand. Otherwise, I'd move my rock over there. You know, the Congo's almost didn't make it in there. For a little while I had ...

Thanks Jeff! I like your idea of adding some more pinnate stems. Infact, exactly where you mention, there is a combination of Heteranthera zosteraefolia and Hygrophila polysperma. Unfortunately, they're not really visible in the picture. (These are the plants I'm waiting to grow up over the heater)....
