I'm not surprised. This technology has been around for a long time. One of the labs that we used to share lab space with did this with Arabadopsis (a type of mustard plant). In fact, the owner of the San Diego Padres heard about the techology and wanted the lab to create a glow-in-the-dark rose for ...

Thanks Viktor for hosting the party I had a great time and the plants I bought are fantastic. The Lythrium I got from Ghazanfar added a punch of lime green to my paludarium and the emersed Ludwigia I got from Cristy looks great climbing up the driftwood. The Ludwigia looks like a bougainvilla! For t...

Recipe for the 40+ layer cake

I got a lot of requests for the recipe, so here it is with some tips. Happy cooking! -Just remember to spend a really long day or two days making this cake and don't make it during the summer--it will fall apart on you. -Keep the kitchen or whatever room you plan on making this cake in cool. -Expect...

Alright. I'm officially bringing the Mille-Fleur and seafood bites. I didn't have enough time to make the croquembouche. Maybe for the next meeting.

Okay Aaron, I think you got your wish for a 40+ layer cake. I just made the crepes and was able to make 44. LOL! I'm still uncertain about the croquebouche, but I still might make it if I have time tomorrow. I will bring the seafood bites. Anyone up for some prosecco (Italian champagne or sparkling ...

Joe, I have some extra ceramic caves that I bought at the Catfish Convention that I'm not using because I couldn't decide on whether to get the red or gray ones. I went with the red ones, so the gray ones are extra. I have three of them. I can give them to you for $2 a piece. Let me know if you want...

I have a few in my tanks, and mine are doing an excellent job of killing the pond snails, I have one that has gotten to a nice size. However, just when I think I'm done with them in tank, I bring home a new plant, and then the snail invasion starts all over again. So I can never get rid of mine. At ...

Is there anyone out there with seafood allergies, especially shellfish? I was thinking of making some bite size seafood appetizers to add to my dessert(s).

I hear you. I had to turn down two other engagements. I'll be running a little late to the party because my husband's company is having a Holiday Party for the kids starting at 9 am that Saturday. So, I'll just be dropping off the family and picking up the dessert(s) and then coming over.

LOL guys! I'm going to make as many crepes as the batter allows me to make. And of course, I won't be including the ones that I mess up!

You guys are now starting to make me feel the pressure of making this dessert! I hope that I don't disappoint.
