Re: MonsterFishKeeper is being sued by Monster Energy Drink

Do a google search for Monster Cable. This is another company using the word "Monster" in its name that has a history of law suits. Someone quipped the other day, "I really was hoping the two of them would discover each other and simply lose each other in a recursive battle of lawsuit...

Re: plant name - Utric greanifola

It has pretty strong roots, once it gets established.

Usually, when I plant it, I kill 95% of it by smother and bashing it into the substrate. Then 5% of it grows and picks up the slack.

Then I kill it. :-D Try to skip that last step!

Re: plant name - Utric greanifola

Yes, probably U. graminifolia.

It's a pain in the aquasoil to plant. Very nice, grass like plant that'll form a good carpet with good water, soft, acid.

Re: June meeting; who is coming, what are you bringing?

I'm going to try my hardest to make it. I don't have much in the ways of plants right now to bring, though. I'll grab something at the bakery before coming in, though, or maybe another cheese tray thingy?

Re: Noisy Milwaukee pH controller...

Everything I got, I got used. So, unfortunately, I'm SOL. I've sent Milwaukee a couple of e-mails, and only gotten the initial response which was, "Try plugging it into a different circuit." (Which, unfortunately, in my house is not practical. The extension cord did fix it, though, so I ca...

Re: Setting up CO2 for my 30G Tank

Hi Nikhil. I'd go with a bigger CO2 cylinder. The cost isn't much more for a 10, or even a 15, and you'll save on the long run with refills. Plus, bigger ones are easier to refill. Tank dump occurs when your CO2 cylinder gets low, and the pressure inside of it becomes low enough to allow all the gas...

Re: Noisy Milwaukee pH controller...

The thicker extention cord actually seems to have done the trick.

Unfortunately, the solenoid now hums: I think that I wrecked it by having it open/close/open/close/open/close so often ...
