So the idea would be to go to multiple spots where it may occur (or has occurred in records) when in flower so you can make a definite ID right there? Makes sense, best hunting for frogs is during their breeding season... both because they congregate but also because you know those are breeding adul...

I think it should be noted that the Daphnia that shows up in the mentioned places is Daphnia magna and not the smaller species Daphnia pulex . The Moina I believe are even smaller.
