Makes sense, best hunting for frogs is during their breeding season... both because they congregate but also because you know those are breeding adul...

Does anyone recognize any of the other plants in this picture with the plant in question? Evidently this is in situ and the plants around it may give you a clue on if this plant ever really gets submerged. http://www.flickr.com/photos/restingas/3994254946/ I can't for the life of me figure out if th...

Kinda hard to tell the difference thanks to my lack of experience, but I'm starting to see what you were talking about. So HM probably isn't actually HM, but is the implication that what is in the ...

I've had a lot of luck with the bolbitis emersed so far, particularly if their feet are left in water (with or without flow). I left it sitting in shallow water initially to let it grow new leaves, but in the high humidity the plant just lifted it's fronds and it's been happy ever since :) I guess I...

I think it should be noted that the Daphnia that shows up in the mentioned places is Daphnia magna and not the smaller species Daphnia pulex . The Moina I believe are even smaller. I had to scrap my D. magna culture because the main species I was trying to feed them to couldn't handle the adults bec...
