Hey Ghazanfar,

Can we get a final posting of dates and places? I know we've re-arranged things a few times and I want to make sure I'm going to be where I think I am when I think I'm going to be there. I think I'm just a wee bit confused.

If you can make it to the PVAS meeting on Monday 14th (in Fairfax, VA), there will be more plants at thier mini auction as well. I have a ton I'm going to be getting rid of there, as I didn't have time to get them bagged for the auction last weekend.

Got it and replied. I'll meet you all on the way or at rainbow springs. Once we have a final schedule and estimated arrival times, we can nail down the location.

Ghazanfar... keep the Sony and pick up a cheap Nikon Coolpix somewhere. They have an incredible macro range and the CoolLight is a nice add-on for close ups. I'm not thrilled about the long distance capabilities of the Coolpix lines, but the macro abilities are awesome. You can borrow mine for a bit...

No idea how a minow trap works, but here's how I generally catch fairly big guys... Find a food they like. Put it in a tall glass or jug or something clearly big enough to hold said critter. Put it near any spots they frequently hang out at. Wait till they go in for a snack and then slap a net (or y...
Jonathan - can't you just shut down the intake from the floating skimmer intakes for feeding?
I'm actually not sure if mine is the EHeim skimmer or the Hagen one. Regardless, it works pretty much the same way as far as I can tell. For feeding, I just pull the top "floating...

My SSE works great. I generally run it as with as little surface flow as possible and pull it out to feed (otherwise my cichlids eat the catfish food instead of the cichlid food). But, another thing to consider if you have lots of surface scum is your CO2 level. I've been told that increasing the CO...

Just a thought... would anyone be opposed to camping at Rainbow Springs? I know the area and can say that there isn't too much in the way of hotels around there unless you head back in to Ocala. The campground is fairly secluded and has full facilities and I think it would be an entertaining evening...

I will have some scraps, but won't be making it to the meeting. If you're anywhere near Springfield, VA, shoot me a personal message and we can arrange something.

I won't be able to make it after all. I have a few things pop up that I have to take care of this weekend.<edited><editID>Jonathan Kalmes</editID><editDate>38118.3941666667</editDate></edited>
