September 2017 Meeting

Wednesday, September 13th, 2017 at 7:02 am

Becca Goldring will host our September meeting at her home in Damascus, MD on Saturday, September 23rd at 1:00pm. Guest speaker, Cara Wade will return to GWAPA to speak about Best of Both Worlds: A Guide to Building Planted Paludariums.

Cara Wade is an planted aquarium hobbyist of twenty years who recently escaped the confines of submersed gardening in order to propagate and flower a broader array of plant species in paludariums and terrariums.  She’s worked in wildlife filmmaking, science education, and photobiology consulting and is currently a GIS Analyst with Austin’s Wildland Conservation Division.  In her off time she maintains her plant collections and enjoys birding, motorcycle touring, and walking stinky urban ditches in search of aquatic plants.

In addition, we will have our regular auction. Members and non-members are welcome.
