Hi all,

Anyone know where I can buy glass and have it cut to size and beveled to take the edge off? I am making one piece glass lids.

TIA,

David

PS What is a good thickness?<edited><editID>dmartin72</editID><editDate>38355.9945138889</editDate></edited>

Any glass shop - call around with sizes and thickness wanted - there is wide variation in prices.

"Beveled" with cost you several times as much as just "ground edges" - which is what the locals call smoothing out any burrs/knife edges.

Why not cut it yerself? This *is* the DIY corner, afterall...:)
A glass cutter only costs a couple of bucks...I'm *assuming* that it's not heavily tempered glass for lids?? Smoothing edges is also DIY pretty easily via methods ranging from emery cloth to a grinder purchased from a stained glass supplier.
