Short CO2

Post by JLW »

Hey all,

I have a client who has a custom built stand and tank. The cabinet is a "low boy" stand, and has only about 16-18" of clearance inside of it. The tank is a 220-gallon aquarium. The biggest standard CO2 cylinder I can fit in there is a 2.5-pounder, which should last roughly, oh, hang on, yea, it just ran out while I was typing this. :p

Kris mentioned that he has a short, squat CO2 unit from ADG. Does anyone know where I could possibly buy one locally or online? I need something more appropriate to the tank size. Any other ideas?

Too bad I can't mount the tank horizontally.

The tank Kris has is a 5 lb. tank. I don't think that would even fit under such a low stand. Is it possible to run line from a different location and have the CO2 tank remotely located?

Actually, it's 10#, but it's not as short as I thought - 20.5". Can you chain together multiple 2.5# tanks?
