You've got plants that do well for you.
You've got a camera.
You can type.

Why am I not seeing entries in the database?
Comon - you've got no excuse. Put the pictures
up and write something short on the plant. It'll
help out other members!

Not many folks need to see stands of Val, or carpets of A. nana, or masses of Java Moss (your shrimp tank already does that well). And not many of us have developed photography skills at your level, but if you want decaying Anubias 'Garbon/Gabon', I can document that (a bit fuzzily), and follow its progress through adaptation to sumerse life, or the failure thereof.

No photography skills needed! Anything will do!
Java moss? I couldn't grow the damned thing until
recently - so please - add anything and everything
you can to the database. It'll help!

Not kidding. I had the hardest time getting any
kind of moss to grow. Infact a lot of people were
having trouble growing it. I don't thing we ever
got to the bottom of it. Some folks said it was
SAEs munching on it - others said possibly MTS
eating it - and yet others thought it was being
outcompeted. However, stick some in a jar and put
it on the sill and it'll grow like theres no tomorrow.

Pigheaddd,

You can upload your images to this message board. When you're posting, click on the second button from the right above the textbox. (Image Upload). That will allow you to upload your image for all to see. <img border="0" src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0">

In photoshop it's super easy:

<strong>To resize a graphic:</strong>
1. Open the file.
2. Save As... Save it to a new name, so you don't loose your larger graphic.
3. Resize the image: Goto Image menu, "Image Size"
3a. Type in the new dimensions.
4. Save the image.

<strong>To resave the image to a lower resolution:</strong>
1. Open the file.
2. Click File -> Save For Web...
3. On the right hand side, select JPEG High
4. In the lower left, it tells you how big the filesize will be.
5. Adjust the "Quality" scrollbar to increase/decrease the quality, thus increasing/decreasing the filesize.
6. Click "Save" button. <em>Save it to a new filename.</em>

Now, just upload the newly saved/resized file. <img border="0" src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0">
