Cold water tank

Post by Tim_Koles »

Hi all,

I recently got a small, 2 gallon or so hex tank. No heater, filter, etc, just a 15 watt incandescent although I can get a 200 or higher LED bulb to replace it if needed. Trying to keep this uncluttered with equipment so I though a single specimen plant that can take temperate conditions, i.e. mid 60's in winter 80's in summer. Any suggestions? Also are there any shrimp available that would work in this setup?

Cherry shrimp will survive lower temperatures.

I wouldn't recommend any fish for a 2g.

Yeah no fish was the plan. Just shrimp and some type of plant. I have a list in one of my books that names several plants that can tolerate temperate conditions but nothing there is all that exciting.
